Football Italia reports that Luciano Spalletti stood by his Juventus selections after the Bianconeri were held 1-1 by Cagliari in Sardinia. Juventus had most of the ball but trailed 1-0 at half-time before Randal Kolo Muani levelled in the 81st minute.
The report says Juventus produced only one shot on target in the first half and still had to rely on a late equaliser to avoid defeat. Spalletti’s own assessment was that the performance was better than the result, but the draw leaves the club still needing more finishing in Serie A.
Football Italia also says tempers flared after the final whistle, with Spalletti and Cagliari coach Fabio Pisacane both shown red cards after an exchange at the handshake. That adds disciplinary fallout to a match Juve could not turn into a win despite their possession advantage.
