Mattia Zaccagni said Lazio are trying to absorb Gennaro Gattuso’s methods after their 2-2 draw with Milan, according to Football Italia. The captain spoke to DAZN after Lazio let a two-goal half-time lead slip at the Stadio Olimpico.
Zaccagni said the team are working to put the coach’s demands onto the pitch and linked part of the setback to the match atmosphere, with supporters again absent from the stadium as part of their protest against Claudio Lotito. He also said the second half became a different game physically, after Lazio had looked strong before the break.
Lazio led through Matteo Cancellieri and Tijjani Noslin before Diego Moreira came off the bench to score twice for Milan. Zaccagni said the result hurts, but added that the squad felt there were signs of progress in the way they played before half-time.
