Sky Sports reported that Manchester City beat Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford, with Erling Haaland scoring the decisive goal in a derby shaped by Phil Foden’s first-half red card.
The report said Foden was dismissed for kicking out at Bruno Fernandes, leaving City with 10 men for much of the match. Despite that, Haaland finished at the back post to give City the lead.
Sky Sports also said the goal stood after a VAR check, before refereeing body Pro Ref later admitted the decision to allow it was an error. United had chances, including efforts that hit the post, but could not find an equaliser.
