The Standard reported on Friday that Thomas Tuchel said Ezri Konsa is back available for England after a minor injury. Konsa had sat out the win over the Czech Republic as an unused substitute after feeling discomfort following last Saturday’s defeat by Spain.
Tuchel said the defender completed full training and is expected to be in contention for Saturday’s away game in Croatia. The update also matters for Arsenal, who host Leeds in their first match after the international break on 10 October.
By contrast, Nico O’Reilly has left the England camp for treatment and will not feature against Croatia or in next Tuesday’s return fixture against the Czech Republic. Tuchel said he was the only player unavailable, with everyone else finishing Friday’s session.
What remains unconfirmed
- Whether Konsa will start against Croatia or Arsenal’s match against Leeds.
- Whether O’Reilly’s treatment will affect any later fixtures beyond the two named matches.
