Asked when Kulusevski could rejoin a matchday squad, the coach gave no date and described weekly assessment with the medical staff.
A separate Tottenham team-news update that day listed Kulusevski among the players still sidelined and explicitly ruled Porro out. This followed September’s reported interruption to Kulusevski’s training and Graham Potter’s hope of an international return, reported by The Standard.
Almost Signed analysis: the two October statements describe a travelling group broader than the available playing squad. Porro provides an explicit cross-check: the coach included him in the trip while ruling him out of the game. Kulusevski’s presence on the same journey therefore cannot be used as a substitute for a selection announcement. Training participation was progress, but the later club record had still not converted September’s return optimism into match availability.
