Football Italia, citing the Opta Predictor and Corriere dello Sport, says the early 2026/27 Serie A model still has Inter as the title favourites after five rounds. The forecast also points to a tight race behind them, with Roma, Como and Juventus filling the projected top four.
1. Inter are given the strongest title chance, with Opta putting them on a 45 per cent path to the Scudetto and at least 78 points. That matters because it keeps the reigning pace-setters ahead even though the table is still compressed at the top.
2. Roma are the model’s next-best contender, forecast to finish second on about 73 points. The report says the Giallorossi have only a 22 per cent chance of winning the league, so the better reading is that they remain in the title conversation but are more likely to be challengers than champions.
3. Como are projected to finish third, which would improve on their fourth-place finish last season. That is the sharpest upward move in the forecast and suggests the model sees them as more than a short-term surprise.
4. Juventus are tipped to take the final Champions League place, while Milan are projected to finish fifth for a second straight season. The same projection has Lazio missing out as well, which would leave both Milan clubs and Lazio outside the top four.
The wider forecast also puts Napoli down in seventh, behind the Champions League places and into Conference League territory. At the bottom, Venezia are described as looking doomed after five straight defeats, while Genoa, Parma, Monza and Lecce are clustered in the safety battle.
